GD Convey will supply Transportes Buytrago a Shoe-Sorter system for parcels

The company TRANSPORTES BUYTRAGO, dedicated to Express Courier and Freight Forwarding, has selected GD Convey to build the sortation system for parcels in its main DC in Madrid, Spain.

The system will be developed in collaboration with the specialist Van Riet including a shoe-sorter machine that will sort up to 8,000 and 11,000 parcels/hour in two phases and will be in function at the end of 2007.

The systems includes 7 induction lines with dynamic scale, vision camera and volume control. This ID system will allow to maximize the sortation capacity by means of the software integrated. Even the merging area or the shoe-sorter will be installed on a mezzanine, leaving free space for a 3 meters corridor for the fork lifts trucks pass.
