Laboratorios Hipra, the vets expert, redimensions its warehouse

Founded in 1954, Laboratorios Hipra is dedicated to research, manufacture and sell veterinary products. Its high priority is international market. They export to over 100 countries located in Europe, Far East, Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Oceania.

In 2002, due to logistic needs, they enlarged its facilities. At the same time, with the aim of increasing its production volume, they asked Stöcklin group – GD Convey to automate its material infeed, warehouse, order picking and expeditions.

The solution carries out material input, automatic product data control, items conveying to an automatic mini-load warehouse, developed with conveyor systems for input and output, and orders preparation area provided with 3 manual stations.

Results reached by Laboratorios Hipra with this new system are:
· Shipping costs reduction.
· Flexibility, to carry out more orders without increasing the number of operators.
· Rationalization of the plant -dividing infeed area, warehouse and expedition area.
· The improvement of the ergonomic and working conditions.
· Tracking of each order in accordance with the GAMP procedures and legislation for pharmaceutical industry.
