Transportes Ochoa automated its Granada, Seville, Fuenlabrada and Cornellá Logistics Distribution Centres

Founded in the 30’s, Transportes Ochoa is dedicated to transport and provide logistics services in the Spanish, Portuguese and French territories, being among the Spanish top-10 freight forwarding and express courier.
Due to its plan of expansion, Ochoa opens a Distribution Centre in 2002 in Granada, for which GD Convey was asked to automate its sortation area. Two years later, after the enriching experience, Ochoa entrusts GD Convey the automation of a similar centre in Seville and two more systems for their new logistics outsourcing division DCs in Fuenlabrada (Madrid) and Cornella (Catalonia).

The solution proposed for Seville and Granada centers comprises parcels infeed by telescopic belt conveyors, merging and singularisation, and sortation by 30 routes in chutes, some of them connected with telescopic roller conveyors. In Fuenlabrada the system includes a previous area of order picking and in the Cornellá center besides the order picking area and pallets automatic warehouse.
